The Power of Seeing Project requires each student to compile a visual case-history of the one street element that they have chosen to document. They begin by filling out a report card on which they give a brief description of the element and its current condition; a map of its exact location; and a photograph of the same taken on the day they commence the documentation. They will then continue to re-photograph this same element after regular intervals to document its wear-and-tear as well as repair and maintenance; and in some cases even collect narratives of how this element might be affecting the quality of life of the residents.
